Sarah and I went over our finances last night, looking at the feasibility of buying her a new car sometime soon. The verdict: we’re going to wait until next summer. Basically, we want to get through the holidays, then come next year we’ll get some reimbursements, save for and go to Italy, see what’s left over for a car.
It does look like the car of choice is the Toyota Prius Hybrid. They’ve got a pretty good deal on them and she was very happy with the dealership.
What helps to alleviate some of our worries is that last night the school board accepted the teacher’s new contract. Sarah, once again, has a known contract – a very good thing.
On another front, our picture frames arrived yesterday and the back room is now 99% complete. We only need to purchase and hang one more image to complete the room. I must thank Jack for helping us to plan the room layout. His idea for hanging the pictures has worked out really well. Sarah and I are quite happy with the results.
