Yesterday was Olivia’s 4 month anniversary. Hard to believe it’s been four months; and hard to believe it’s only four months.

For her 4 month birthday, she ate rice cereal for the first time. All three of us got along pretty good with the whole spoon feeding thing — considering none of us had done it before. It didn’t take Olivia long to figure out that the spoon mean yummie food and she soon began sucking the spoon right on in and smacking away.
Also on her birthday she had her check-up. Doc says she’s doing just great. She’s up to 25 1/2″ long (90th percentile) and 13 lbs. 10 oz. (50th percentile). She’s got a little congestion, but doc says that’s normal and isn’t concerned.
In other developmental news: she’s holding her head up for long stretches at a time; she can sit up pretty good (with assistance, of course); and has rolled over — front to back and back to front. If you’ve never gone through this, watching a little human develop is just one of the most wonderful and fascinating things ever.
Now if only she would go to bed without all of the crying (though she’s much much better now) and sleep through the night (mom would really like that)… .

Thanks for the cute picture. Anxious to see her next week. Hugs and kisses.
