Last Saturday was my 20th high school reunion, and it felt just like high school.
It was amazing that the same cliques were in place with the same, albeit slightly modified, behavior. What was most interesting was all of the 3′s — it seemed almost everyone I talked to had 3 kids.
I finally posted a full set of photos from our vacation at Spider Lake. We had a good time biking, hiking and swimming. Plus, I got to photograph some amazing woodpeckers.
Today I handed in my resignation at Thomson Gale in order to join the faculty at Washtenaw Community College.
After 9 1/2 years at Gale, it was somewhat difficult to take the leap; but, on the other hand, it was also time for a change. And the opportunity at WCC was too good to pass up.
I am joining the Internet Professionals department and will be teaching XHTML, CSS and all the standards goodness that goes along with it. (Which means I really need to get this site in shape.) I’m really looking forward to getting back in the classroom and helping spread the standards movement to a new generation of coders.
We’ve returned from a week’s holiday at Spider Lake. Even with record heat for a few days, we had a really good time. I’ll upload more photos later. Now we’re just gearing up for the next adventure….
