WordPress 2.0, or rather Askimet, is doing it’s job. Since the upgrade, no spam comments have made it to the site and no false-positives caught.

Finally Upgraded
July 26, 2006
I finally installed WordPress 2.0 and things aren’t as broken as I expected them to be. There is something wrong with the comment links, but that’s fine by me for now. Comments were a big reason for the upgrade — way too much comment spam was coming through, requiring too much of my time to monitor.
I’ll worry about fixing the links another time; I’ve got some other little backend changes to make.
New Photos
July 19, 2006
Finally got around to uploading a few new photos. I really need to organize the sets on the computer.
New Bikes
A few weeks ago we finally went to the local bike shop (Rochester Bike Shop (RBS)) and picked up a couple of new Trek mountain bikes. We rode a variety of bikes at both RBS and REI and the Treks came out on top.
As for the old bikes — they were off to the Salvation Army. With a little TLC my 20 year-old Fuji would make a fine ride.
Race Weekend Report
Race Car Update
July 9, 2006
We are officially a go for racing next weekend at Mid-Ohio. After getting all of the plumbing worked out — including replacing all of the fuel lines and reworking some of the oil lines — the motor fired up on the first try. Now all I need to do is put all the bits and pieces back on the car, clean it out and pack the track bags.
The Engine is Back
July 3, 2006
We had a little delay in getting the race motor back, which meant that instead of racing this past weekend we were putting the motor back in the car. After about four hours, it’s back in place. All that’s left is for me to finish hooking up the plumbing and electrical. If all goes according to plan, I’ll be hitting Mid-Ohio on the 15th.
