Thought I’d share a snippet from an email I sent the wife this morning:
As I turned onto South an eyelash or something dropped into my eye. So that hurt like hell and I couldn’t see very well. I missed the driveway and ended up on a side street trying to tear my eye out while Olivia started to get cranky because a) we weren’t moving and b) she wasn’t getting out of her seat.
Yeah, that was fun.

On lunch at work I’ve began reading Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth by R. Buckminster Fuller. I think it going to be rather interesting to see his predictions from 1969, considering he says his “long-distance thinking” is really only good for something on order of 50 years. (more…)

I couldn’t resist it any longer — I now own a Nikon D50, complete with 18-55 f/3.5 and 70-300 f/4 lenses and 1GB Lexar Pro 60x SD card.

In addition to figuring out how to stand, the Wee Little One has managed to climb stairs. She’s made it up two unassisted.

Walking into your child’s room to see him or her standing up may not be a big deal — unless it’s never happened before.
Friday night (actually early Saturday morning) Olivia was crying. Sarah went into her room to find her standing in her crib. I went in to her room around 4:00 am (Olivia’s doing a bit of teething again) and also found her standing at the railing calling out.
It was just a bit surreal.
